Twitter is now testing a new tool dubbed "Twitter Circle," which allows users to manually select a smaller group of 150 individuals with whom to share their tweets.
The new Twitter tool appears to be comparable to Instagram's Close Friends feature, which allows users to pick their story's audience.
Twitter announced the functionality on Tuesday, stating that "some Tweets are public and some are private."

To begin with, you'll select up to 150 people regardless of whether you follow them or not. Then, while tweeting anything, select the "Twitter Circle" option to limit your tweet to the people you've selected.
Users can edit the list of people in their "Twitter Circle" at any time. Additionally, if you delete them, no one will be notified. According to the company,
Twitteratis who gained access to the feature have begun sharing their thoughts.
At first, I didn't understand, but this is a really cool feature, and I've been in desperate need of something like this lately," one user tweeted.
Meanwhile, some have capitalised on the announcement by sharing amusing takeaways.
One user tweeted, "I'm not sure if more than 150 people have ever seen any of my tweets."
Another user tweeted, "Ionly have two people to add to my Twitter Circle." For me, it's more like a line or a dot, not a circle.
While some users became intrigued and raised concerns about the system,
Is it possible to build distinct circles for distinct crowds? For instance, my Star Wars buddies, my hometown friends, my other interests, and so forth. A user stated on Twitter.
"How is this different from list and group chats?" another inquired.
The new functionality was announced just days after Tesla CEO Elon Musk acquired Twitter.
On the other hand, Musk's USD 44 billion acquisition of Twitter Inc. is still months away from completion.
