Elon Musk uses a question on Tesla's "falling" favorability to promote the benefits of Twitter.

During the Q4 and FY 2022 earnings call, Musk highlighted the value of Twitter to businesses, automotive or otherwise. Last month, a UK-based research firm published the results of its survey, which indicated that the CEO's political posts on the social media platform had hurt the company's approval rating. At the beginning of the year, the company had a net positive score of 5.9%, but by the end of the year, the approval rating had fallen to -1.4%.

Morning Consult posted similar findings, and an investor asked the EV maker if it tracks its favorability. Musk did not directly address the question, but he did note that the size of his following suggests that he is popular. Musk took the time to plug the value of the social network for his company, which he said could be used by other businesses. I have 127 million followers.

It continues to grow very fast. That suggests that I am popular. For the vast majority of people, my follow count speaks for itself, even though it might not be popular with some people. I am the most interactive social media account, I think, maybe in the world, and that is predated the Twitter acquisition.

I would encourage companies in the automotive industry to use their social media accounts in ways that are interesting, informative, and entertaining, and it will help them drive sales just as it has withTesla. A few people are complaining, but the net value of the service is huge. Mr. Regardless of Musk's statements, his political posts on Twitter have proven to be very divisive.

Musk is correct. The results speak for themselves, as the official account has become far more active.
