Tesla describes the Cybertruck as a sturdy, tough, do-it-all vehicle. Thus, imagine being able to drive to a neighbouring lake, convert it to a catamaran boat, and then spend a day exploring the lake's waters. That is precisely what a startup called Cybercat promises if the Cybertruck is ever released.

With the Cybertruck's global popularity, we've seen a slew of new accessory ideas for the electric truck. From adapting it into a mobile house with a roof-top tent and built-in kitchen to converting it into an amphibious catamaran capable of speeds of up to 25 mph (22+ knots).

According to InsideEVs, the Cybercat company will sell customisable kits, such as the Cybercat (Catamaran) or Cybercat Foiler (hydrofoil), that will enable owners to transport the vehicle anywhere, from muddy roads to water. The company has been granted many patents for their concept, which is still merely a concept at this point, but it does appear to be quite interesting.

According to the company website, this is a genuine product concept, and you can even reserve a space. While the device already sounds outlandish, it appears to be totally portable. The Cybercat comes equipped with folding inflatable pontoons that help keep your truck afloat with a 12-inch clearance. The entire apparatus then folds up and fits neatly into the Cybertruck's bed.

According to Cybercat, owners can drive to the water, inflate the pontoons, connect all of the components, and drive aboard the Cybercat in less time than it takes to prepare and launch a boat, according to Cybercat.

The company charges between $22,900 and $32,900 to convert your Cybertruck into a suitable amphibious vehicle. Pricing is determined by the number of 50 kW motors you wish to use to push the vehicle once it is floating. Customers may opt to install up to five electric motors for a total of 335 horsepower.

On the other hand, the Cybercat hydrofoil variant, on the other hand, costs between $35,400 and $42,900 but provides increased performance, speed, and range due to the hydrofoils. The Cybercat Foiler has a top speed of 40 mph and a range of 75-115 miles, depending on your speed. Having said that, we believe the foiler form will be less portable than the standard Cybercat.

The company discusses installing a camper to transform your truck into a cyber houseboat, equipping it with seats and fishing poles for anglers, and even constructing a cyber island. Yes, a Cybercat-filled island where friends can congregate as long as there is a regular marine-grade outlet available to replenish the battery cells.

What an outlandish notion.
