Tesla's Product Design Director Javier Verdura made a passing reference to the possibility of the electric automaker developing its own branded gaming controller for use with the Arcade in its vehicles.

Verdura's ten years with Tesla have resulted in a vast portfolio of designs, including the Supercharger and the company's distinctive product packaging. Verdura recently claimed that Tesla was working on a diecast model of the Cybertruck, which is the only vehicle in Tesla's portfolio that does not have a toy version.

However, it is possible that Tesla will assign additional jobs to Verdura in the coming months. Tesla's Director of Product Build hinted discreetly in a Twitter exchange that the company may even design its own gaming controller in the near future.

The Tweet is devoid of substance, and it is, of course, speculative at this time. Tesla, on the other hand, stands to gain numerous benefits from designing its own controller for its automobiles and others, particularly given that the business has never formally licenced or suggested any particular game controller to its owners. The Tesla Arcade has various games that require a game controller, but the company has left consumers on their own in some circumstances.

Tesla did had a Tesla-branded controller accessible for video gaming demos at its Plaid Delivery Event in July. Although the manufacturer never officially acknowledged it, we do know that the corporation has considered the notion of having its own controller.

Tesla did not make it impossible for owners to find compatible controllers. Almost any gaming controller with a USB port is suitable, and various USB dongles on the market have previously functioned wirelessly with Tesla automobiles. However, there are still certain drawbacks with Tesla's gaming peripherals, particularly after the company switched to USB-C connectors in the Model 3 and Model Y, necessitating the purchase of another conversion attachment if owners own a controller with a regular USB 3.0 connector. Additionally, while some owners have said that wireless controllers would function exclusively with the Model S and Model X, others have reported success with a wireless dongle.

Nonetheless, Tesla might simplify matters for owners by releasing its own controller. While the Arcade is undoubtedly a luxury, it also serves as a means of passing the time while Supercharging and keeping children happy during a lengthy travel. Additionally, with the revised Model S and X featuring a back screen with gaming capability, the game controller might be utilised by rear occupants while the car is in motion.

Gaming controllers must be registered with the Federal Communications Commission, or FCC. Tesla has not yet filed any paperwork with the Federal Communications Commission regarding a gaming controller, and there are no indications that the company has any immediate intentions to produce a product.
