ADDITIONAL FEATURES
The Light Show, for starters, allows Tesla vehicles to dance to a programmed light show at any time of year. The function was a standout feature of the Model X, so it's intriguing that Tesla is now bringing it to the rest of its portfolio. The Toybox is where you'll find the Light Show feature.
Tesla also released the Customizable App Launcher in its Holiday Update, which allows customers to modify the menu bar in their infotainment systems. This should work well with the Model 3 and Model Y's updated user interface, which now resembles the Model S Plaid and new Model X that were released earlier this year.
"For simple access, drag & drop your preferred apps to any position along the bottom menu bar." To reorder the icons in your menu bar, hold any icon and drag it. "Tap on the temperature or slide up from the bottom of the screen to modify climatic controls such as heated seats and defrost," the update's Release Notes state.
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FEATURES
Tesla upgraded a few critical features, including car controls, blind spot monitoring, and Waypoints, as with any update.
Tesla owners can focus on navigation, media, and the most common primary controls using Simplified Controls. The upgrade should make it easier to access elements in the infotainment system, making driving or managing a Tesla more convenient and possibly safer.
