This video, in which a former Tesla employee discusses how the firm functions, is highly eye-opening and demonstrates that Tesla is possibly the world's fastest growing company today.
Tesla is not structured in the way that corporate America is structured, with ranks such as executives, directors, and managers... Rather than that, it runs as a crowdsourced hive collective, which means that things can move quite quickly. Let us discuss it further.

Tesla moves at the Speed of Light
Joe Justice, a former Tesla employee who oversaw the company's agile processes, gives eye-opening insights into Tesla.
Agile processes are simply a technique for a business to move faster with their features and products by utilising an agile process - which means agility - that enables you to make choices and produce more goods faster and faster while maintaining a high level of quality.
Joe chose to work at Tesla because of the company's rapid pace of innovation. Joe evaluates businesses depending on their rate of innovation. Joe observed Tesla's rapid product evolution in both software and hardware and chose to join the company to put his agile process abilities to the test.
Joe was requested to make comparisons between Tesla, Amazon, and Microsoft. Joe stated that he had never had such a good time as he did at Tesla. He stated that it is because Tesla operates at such a high rate of speed. He believes that every company moves at a snail's pace in comparison to Tesla.
If you worked at Tesla and your values did not match those of Tesla, you would burn out. However, if your values are in alignment, you will have an excellent experience. However, it is quite strenuous work.
On your first day at Tesla, you'll participate in a four-hour onboarding process and receive an employee handbook rather than a handbook. You have virtually unlimited authority and can communicate with Elon Musk at any time.
You are free to work in any department. You have complete authority. If someone attempts to prevent you from doing what is right, that person will be fired. This is true regardless of your position, from floor sweeper to coder.
You receive approximately 25 apps for your phone that provide real-time updates on Tesla's finances and deliveries. If a customer cancels an order, you are promptly notified.
What was the point of contention? Was it the seats, the paint, or something else entirely? You are provided with self-management tools to assist you in resolving any issues that arise.
You are not tasked with any particular sector. You immediately enter production and begin making the best decisions possible. Joe was an agile expert, and so he jumped right in. Others may see value in robotics or software development and choose to begin their careers in such fields.

The apps provide a remarkably short feedback loop. It's similar to a free-flowing conference. You have no idea what the agenda will be. Suggestions for topics are posted on a wall.
You can simply walk over to the topic and agenda that interest you and join the debate. This is known as the law of two feet. This is the way Tesla operates.
A Demonstration of Tesla's Lightning Speed
Due to the absence of administration at Tesla, all issues are visible to every employee. Employees collaborate in a manner akin to a "hive mind" to solve problems. Employees form groups to solve challenges.
One example is when Tesla publicly changed the Model 3's charging rates from 200 kWh to 250 kWh. Joe witnessed how this occurred. Here is a summary of what occurred.
Joe would arrive a couple of hours prior to his shift to investigate locations upstream of him. He'd spend a couple of hours after his shift to investigate regions that were accessible to him.
He was walking through the Fremont factory's design, test, and build section in the morning. There was a rubbish container full of bent aluminium rods labelled scrap. Joe was perplexed as to why there was so much scrap.
There was a bunch of individuals working on a laptop that was atop a German-made rod bender. The apparatus bends the rod as it passes through the machine.
Joe recognised the purpose of these rods in automobiles and requested if he might assist the people on the laptop using the rod bending apparatus. He was invited in by the group.
The individual there reasoned that by altering the way the aluminium rods linked to the battery pack's charging port, they could boost efficiency - more kWh per pack.
They came up with the idea and immediately began bending rods. It would have been worthwhile if they had generated $1 million in scrap rod. When the rods in the cars finally failed, the Tesla stock price soared by several billion dollars in market capitalization.
Tesla's Stock Will Increase in Direct Relationship to the Company's Speed and Innovation
Tesla Model 3 automobiles equipped with a 250 kWh battery pack began to be sold in less than three hours from concept to production. Later, it would be revealed that this was the case, significantly increasing Tesla's stock price.
This was all possible because someone at Tesla had a concept and a small group of individuals were given the freedom to test and implement the notion.
Tesla's stock price will rise in lockstep with this rate of innovation. I am unaware of any organisation that operates in this manner - without managers or organisational structure, but rather with complete autonomy within the business. Tesla is similar to the Borg Hive mind from Star Trek.
The majority of other businesses are extremely slow to innovate and manage costs. It takes courage to be inventive and to change things. However, at Tesla, change and innovation are encouraged; indeed, Elon Musk has stated that innovation is a condition for employment at Tesla or you will be fired. Tesla invests billions of dollars each year in automated testing, which enables the company to innovate at a breakneck pace.
No other firm, in my opinion, will be able to match Tesla's rate of invention and its ability to automate testing and make change less unpleasant; they will continue to expand their advantage over the competition.
What are your thoughts on Tesla's innovation and speed? Will Tesla be able to maintain this astounding rate of acceleration? Will any other company go as quickly or more quickly than Tesla?
