Elon Musk is now the most followed person on Twitter.

 Musk has become the most followed person on the platform. The former US President Barack Obama had a total of 133,042,018 followers. Obama had held the title of the most followed person on the platform for a number of years. 

The follower count of the CEO has grown since he reached 100 million followers. The gap between Musk's and Obama's follower counts dropped this month. The CEO was going to overtake the former US President. Musk overtook Obama on the follower count at the end of the month.

The CEO tends to use the platform for a variety of activities, from communicating with his customers and followers to off-the-cuff comments about multiple topics. The number of accounts that Musk and Obama follow are vastly different. Musk has over 133 million followers, but he only follows 187 accounts on the social networking site. The former US President and the CEO both get a lot of replies to their posts.
