Elon Musk referred to Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor as a "crybaby" after the musician abandoned Twitter. Reznor claimed over the weekend that Musk's acquisition was "embarrassing" and that he was "ready to leave" the platform.

We don't need the arrogance of the wealthy class to believe they can just go in and solve everything, he declared.Even without him around, I just have the impression that the environment has become really toxic. For the sake of my mental health, I need to relax. I don't feel at ease there anymore.
Nine Inch Nails' lead singer has already made good on his promise to leave the social media platform, while Kanye West and Donald Trump have both returned to Twitter after having their accounts previously suspended owing to a number of antisemitic messages.
48 hours after Musk reactivated Trump's Twitter account and the world hadn't ended, a message stating, "And it turns out that 'nine-inch nails' Trent Reznor is really a crybaby," was received. Musk responded to the tweet.

And it turns out that Trent “nine inch nails” Reznor is actually a crybaby 🤣

In response to his assertion, one individual wrote, "You are an ignorant imbecile. Trent Reznor is among the all-time great artists.
I appreciate his music, to be honest, but maybe Etsy is more his thing, Musk said.
Since taking official leadership of Twitter in October, he has been under intense criticism for his questionable actions there. He has received criticism from many famous people, including Jack White, who also left the site over the weekend, Kathy Burke, Stephen Fry, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, comedy troupe SpitLip, and Stephen Fry.
As a result of Musk's recent firing of hundreds of employees and the large-scale departure of advertisers, it is believed that Twitter itself is set to fail. Following Musk's takeover, hate speech on Twitter appears to have increased dramatically as well; for instance, usage of the N-word increased by approximately 500% in a single day.
The remaining Twitter employees were reportedly given the ultimatum to "work hard hours at great intensity" or leave the company last week by Musk, who also threatened to fire them. Soon after, reports of the site's demise began to circulate.
