Indian Air Force will participate in exercises in Israel and Egypt - Latest Indian Defence News

India is not taking part in exercise in Israel for the first time. India participated in the biennial Ex Blue Flag exercise for the first time in November 2017 at Israel's Uvda Air Force station. The Indian Air Force deployed C-130J special operations aircraft and Garud commandos to the exercise. Fighter jets will take part in the Egyptian drills.

In August, then-Air Chief RKS Bhadauria visited Israel and met with Israeli Air Force Commander Major General Amikam Norkin. He also participated in an F15 sortie.

He also paid tribute to the Indian soldiers' cemetery in Talpioth, Jerusalem, during his visit.

In the recent year, the Indian Air Force has engaged in a number of foreign exercises. IAF welcomed the French Air Force for Exercise Desert Knight in January and conducted operations with US Carrier Strike Groups in March and June.

In March 2021, the air force participated in its maiden exercise, Desert Flag-6, in the United Arab Emirates. The exercise involved the air forces of the United States of America, France, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (as host).
