According to rumours, Linda Yaccarino, the president of advertising at NBC Universal, is in discussions to replace Jack Dorsey as CEO of Twitter. Elon Musk said on Thursday that he has chosen a new CEO for Twitter, although he made no mention of who it is.

For more than ten years, Linda Yaccarino has been a proponent for the industry at NBCUniversal, where she has worked to improve the methods in which advertising performance is measured. She played a crucial role in the rollout of NBCU's ad-supported Peacock streaming service as the company's head of advertising sales.
It has been said that Yaccarino, who spent 19 years working at Turner Entertainment, was responsible for bringing the network's ad sales operation into the internet age.

She graduated from Penn State University where she majored in communications and liberal arts.
At an advertising conference in Miami last month, Yaccarino spoke with Musk. At the conference, Yaccarino praised Musk's work ethic and urged the audience to applaud his entrance.
Yaccarino's departure would be yet another major setback for the business after Comcast announced last month that NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell was stepping down after admitting an inappropriate connection with a female employee. This followed a complaint that sparked an investigation.
