Designing a logo may be a complex endeavour. Even the most ostensibly straightforward symbols undergo many modifications during the design process, and a crooked line here or an off-angle there will have kept a graphic designer awake at night. It appears that not even Elon Musk is immune to the torture of searching for the ideal logo.
Musk has used his preferred social media channel to provide insight into the construction of the logos for two of his most well-known firms. And it turns out that one has a hidden message, while the other has undergone numerous minor changes throughout time. (In search of inspiration? In response to a fan who praised the SpaceX logo (Musk's contribution to the Billionaire Space Race), Musk explained that the arc of the 'X' is "intended to reflect the rocket's arc to orbit." It's not a really clever visual pun, but I can see it.

Musk tweeted in response to another fan that he "slightly agonised" about the typeface style for the Tesla wordmark, particularly with regard to the usage of negative space. He claimed that the design has undergone "many minor adjustments over the years" but did not specify what had altered. As font aficionados, we would be intrigued to see what changes have been made over the years.

By no means is the SpaceX logo the only design having a secret message. From the Bluetooth logo to the Toyota logo, other logo "secrets" have emerged in recent years. Not all of them are intentional, it should be noted; speaking of Tesla, just wait till you see how some individuals interpret the letter 'T'.
