50 percent of the workforce will be laid off on Friday in a bid to reduce costs. To fructify his plans to alter the work-from-anywhere policy, Musk has asked all the remaining workers of the social media giant to go to offices. On 4 November, an email will be sent to employees telling them about their employment status. An email was sent to employees asking them to be ready for layoffs on Friday. The employees were told to return home and wait for an email to come in. The layoffs will take place across the globe. The memo sent to employees said that they would be reducing their global workforce. Since Musk became the CEO of the company, there have been rumors of job cuts.

In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday. This action is necessary to ensure the company's success moving forward, but we recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to the company.
