Tesla increased Full Self-Driving (FSD) costs to $10,000 from $8,000 in 2020, a 20 percent increase in less than two years.
"On January 17, the price of a Tesla FSD increased to $12,000. Only in the United States." Musk sent out a tweet.
Musk also stated that once FSD is widely available, the monthly subscription price will increase.
"As we come closer to FSD production code release, FSD pricing will grow," he tweeted.
Tesla has begun rolling out a test version of its improved FSD software, a set of driving-assistance functions like as automated lane changing and turning, although the features do not make the vehicles autonomous.
