Parag, 37, is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, where he earned a bachelor's degree in engineering with a concentration in computer science. He continued his education in the United States, earning a doctorate from Stanford University in California.


Additionally, Parag joined Twitter in 2011. Prior to that, he had positions at Microsoft, AT&T, and Yahoo. While the majority of his work was focused on research, at Twitter, he worked on advertising-related products and began dabbling with artificial intelligence.
