The Chinese start-up specialising in electric vehicles Edison Future unveiled two new electric cars, including the EF-1-T, a pickup truck inspired by Tesla's Cybertruck. The EF-1T bears strong similarities to Tesla's Cybertruck, incorporating solar cells. Nonetheless, the car has its own personality and, in my opinion, looks stunning.
Edisonfuture, a subsidiary of China's SPI Energy formed in 2016, intends to manufacture electric vehicles in the future. On its website, Edisonfuture has now showcased two new models. The EF-1-T is a three-stage expansion pickup. Interestingly, the pickup looks a lot like the much-anticipated Tesla Cybertruck, complete with an optional solar-powered cargo compartment lid.
Cybertruck clone: 0-60 in less than four seconds.
The standard version of the EF-1-T electric truck features a 476 horsepower motor that is said to accelerate the pick-up to 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds. The EF-1-T is capable of carrying just under 3.5 tonnes. The second expansion stage, dubbed EF-1-T Premium, receives two engines whose performance has not yet been determined.
This means that the vehicle should reach 60 miles per hour in under 4.5 seconds. The pulling force is increased by an additional 330 lb. The premium model, the EF-1-T Super, features three engines and is estimated to have nearly 820 horsepower and a 0-60 time of less than four seconds.
The EF-1-T has a pulling force of just about 3.9 tonnes. Each model is available in a "shortbed" configuration with a loading area of nearly 2 metres in length or a "longbed" configuration with a loading area of 2.44 metres. The EF-1-T is shown in the following video:

The Cybertruck's resemblance should entice purchasers.
The EF-1-T's resemblance to Tesla's Cybertruck is very certainly intentional. We already know that the Tesla Cybertruck's bed may be coated in solar cells. The EF-1-T has a maximum seating capacity of six passengers in two rows of chairs. Even the dashboard's top cover is covered in solar cells, which should generate at least one volt.
Edisonfuture has come up with a practical solution: the doors can be removed to provide more storage space.
Are you a fan of the EF-1-T? Perhaps Tesla should acquire a few concepts for the Cybertruck based on this truck, as the EF-1T is unmistakably inspired by it. I admire numerous aspects of this design.
I am a strong supporter of solar panels on electric cars and am pleased that the Tesla Cybertruck will also have this option in the future. You are aware that adding 20 miles per day is not insignificant. Additionally, if these solar panels produced 1 gallon of gasoline every day while parked in your driveway, consider the cost savings of 365 gallons of gas per year.
Do you believe the EF-1-T's design is superior to the Tesla Cybertruck's? Kindly leave your thoughts below and let's compare this electric truck to the Cybertruck.
