Outside of North America, Tesla has ceased collecting orders for its electric pickup vehicle, the Cybertruck, according to the company's official website. Tesla's website stated that reservations for the Tesla Cybertruck are being accepted in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Tesla launched the Cybertruck in 2019, and according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the EV business is seeking to finish development work on the electric pickup truck by the end of this year so that manufacturing may begin in 2023.

The Tesla Cybertruck made an appearance at the Tesla Cyber Rodeo event held at the Tesla Texas Gigafactory in Austin earlier this month. Tesla has said that the all-electric Cybertruck would be built in its Texas facility.

The Tesla Cybertruck with new features was on display at the event, including no handles, retractable rear glass, side view cameras in plastic cladding around the front wheels, and a charging connector on one of the fenders. The Cybertruck prototype had no notable features on the inside, and the yoke of the electric pickup truck lacked an airbag.

According to a report published earlier this year, Musk has been driving the Tesla Cybertruck prototype around the company's Texas Gigafactory. He described the encounter as "amazing." The Tesla CEO shared his driving experience on Twitter.

The Tesla Cybertruck, introduced in 2019, was expected to go into production in late 2021, but was pushed back to late 2022. However, now that manufacturing of the electric pickup truck is set to begin early next year, Tesla is working hard to get this long-awaited EV to market as soon as possible. The Tesla Cybertruck will compete with the GMC Hummer EV and Ford F-150 Lightning when it is released.
