Despite a few small difficulties, the R1T owner would undoubtedly purchase the truck again.

Since the Rivian R1T has been available on the market for some months, a sizable number of electric pickup trucks have been successfully delivered by Rivian. Along with the abundance of expert reviews, we are currently starting to notice an increase in the number of owner reviews.

The Rivian R1T has been owned by YouTube personality TEDActuallyTalks for six months, which is longer than most owners. He created the brief video up top to share his initial impressions of the truck, and they are overwhelmingly good.

According to Ted, the R1T electric truck has, at least thus far, proven to be an excellent first EV. Not that there haven't been problems, but they have been little and nothing significant. Ted acknowledges having software-related issues with the truck, which is maybe to be expected with a first-generation vehicle that is so new. Fortunately, he claims that Rivian is rapidly developing its software and that almost all of the issues have been resolved.

Even better, according to Ted, his R1T consistently achieves an average real-world driving range of around 270 miles on the 20-inch All-Terrain tyres. EPA estimates that the combined range of the R1T is 314 miles per charge. The 20-inch All-Terrain tyres, however, cut that distance in half, to 274 miles.

The R1T was put through our reliable 70 mph highway range test while using 20-inch AT tyres. We achieved a range of 254 miles on the highway, which makes Ted's estimate of a 270-mile average range appear to be rather accurate. This is impressive because it is so close to Rivian's predictions.

Ted continues by saying that the suspension system and driving characteristics of the R1T electric vehicle are extremely excellent. Additionally, there haven't been many service concerns with the truck. Ted makes it abundantly apparent that he has no regrets and that he would not think twice about purchasing the Rivian truck all over again.
