In the past few weeks, images and videos from Texas have shown that parts of IDRA's 9,000-ton Giga Press were already being delivered to the facility. The assembly of the 9,000-ton press is progressing according to recent photos of the complex.

Joe Tegtmeyer posted some stills from a flyover he did on the 18th of January. One of the most striking images from the flyover was a shot of the area where the 9,000-ton Giga Press was being assembled. A good portion of the machine's components have already been set up, as can be seen in the image. Considering the size of the machine, the progress of the assembly is quite impressive.

Some of the most notable automakers use Giga Press machines for vehicle production. The company uses 6,000-ton Giga Presses to make the Model Y. Since the Cybertruck is a larger vehicle, the all-electric pickup would likely need an 8,000-ton Giga Press. IDRA seems to have gone further with a 9,000-ton Giga Press. Musk is very supportive of the machine, commenting on a video of the 9,000-ton Giga Press in action last year and stating that it would be used for the Cybertruck body.
IDRA deserves a lot of credit for their work on the Giga Presses. During the Cyber Rodeo last year, Musk gave a shout out to IDRA and its parent company, LK Technology, for being the only ones who were willing to take a chance at producing the machinesTesla needed.

It is a revolution in car manufacturing to make you car out of three major parts: a cast rear, a structural pack, and a cast front. The biggest casting machines ever made are what you are looking at. It is kind of crazy to make a car like that. It has never been done before. There are six major casting manufacturers in the world. We called six. One said maybe. I thought that sounds like a yes.
