Prototypes of Tesla Cybertrucks Reveal Size and a Covered Vault

It seems there are at least two Cybetruck prototypes, and they certainly don't appear to be "downsized."

EVs and Tesla When at least two Tesla Cybertruck prototypes were observed testing at Tesla's Fremont plant track yesterday, February 28, 2022, Twitter went crazy. Several images of the all-electric giant were obtained by the Kilowatts, who always seem to be at the right place at the right time.

In addition, one of the Cybertrucks is seen parked next to a Tesla Model S in a recent drone flyover video that was broadcast on YouTube just yesterday. Along with the Cybertruck prototype, there are a few more Tesla cars. Start watching at 3:15 in the YouTube video above for a closer look.

One of the Cybertrucks in the photographs and video is most likely the brand's alpha prototype. The side mirrors and the big windshield wiper are clearly visible. The fact that the parked Cybertruck is wearing its tonneau cover, which hasn't been the case in many of the recent spy images, is also noteworthy. The "Vault" cover is also visibly grimy, implying that Tesla has taken the Cybertruck through its paces in off-road tests. However, it's possible that all it needs is a little elbow grease.

Despite suggestions that Tesla may offer a smaller Cybertruck or reduce the size of the electric pickup truck in general, it does not appear to be "downsized." The Cybertruck's massive size is noticeable when parked next to the brand's Model S, as you can see.

To give you a sense of scale, the Model S is nearly 200 inches long. The original Cybertruck, which debuted on stage, measured slightly over 230 inches in length.

The odd angle, along with the offset parking job, gives the impression that the two Tesla vehicles are more than 2.5 feet apart in length. If you envision them lined together, though, the length may be as expected. What are your thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments area below.
