Tesla has been laying off employees ever since CEO Elon Musk said in June that he planned to decrease the company's employment by 10%, but the response in some cases has been unexpected.
Insider discovered several LinkedIn posts from Tesla employees who, despite being fired, praised their time spent contributing to Musk's vision of an electric future.
It was an honour to work with so many creative people, said Monier Ziain, who worked in the autopilot branch, in a blog post. A total of 200 employees in the division were let go by Tesla, and the San Mateo, California, office was shut down.
She uttered: "I've been working for a company where I sincerely believed in what we were doing for the previous 18 months. Working on a project that ushers in the future of transportation gave me a wonderful sense of pride, as did the knowledge that we were the first."
It was the hardest, most time-consuming, and frustrating work I've ever done, but I wouldn't swap the experience for anything, said an engineer in the autopilot section, who also listed working on the navigation system as one of his greatest accomplishments.

Some others said their experience was a unique journey. In 2016, when Tesla exclusively sold the Model S, Adam Ryding claimed to have joined the company: "While some of us (the 10%) may be angry or frustrated, I'm not. I'm glad I was a part of it since I learned so much, and I wish all of my former coworkers the best in everything."
In a post, a Tesla data annotation expert stated: "When good people work hard together in a challenging environment, something magical happens. This magic takes many different, occasionally strange, forms. I observed it in our chat channels as people joked about the challenging and tiresome labour."
"They are artistic, they have acute eyes, they are emotionally intelligent, and they made even the slowest days at work pleasurable because they are nice, kind people who watch out for each other and know how to keep morale up," a different former employee said of her coworkers.
In fact, Aaron Mendoza claimed that his dismissal "is really a blessing in disguise" because it will enable him to work in a profession more "matched to his interests and skillset."
However, not everyone is appreciating Tesla. There are "a lot of structural concerns at play here," according to a former XR developer.
