Certainly, Tesla appears to be making a strong comeback in the second half of 2022. While Gigafactory Shanghai is apparently aiming to produce an amazing 3,000 vehicles per day once its factory modifications are complete, Giga Berlin is also aiming to hit a somewhat related milestone of 3,000 Model Y units per week beginning in October 2022.
A major win for the Gigafactory Berlin would be achieved if Tesla Germany is successful. After all, the plant was only allowed to begin producing vehicles in March of last year. Elon Musk stated earlier this month that the Gigafactory Berlin could already produce 1,000 Model Y units in a single week. In addition, Tesla SVP of Powertrain and Energy Engineering Drew Baglino mentioned that Giga Berlin might produce 5,000 vehicles per week by the end of the year on last week's earnings call.

Industry insider TeslaMag.de recently revealed that starting on Monday, Giga Berlin personnel have begun working in two shifts with the aim of producing 1.5K Model Y every week, citing sources with knowledge of the situation. According to reports, this number will increase, at least until Tesla Germany can make 3K Model Y each week. This milestone is supposed to be reached in October.
Giga Berlin would be producing around 600 automobiles per day on an expected five-day workweek at a rate of 3K Model Ys each week. According to reports, Tesla Germany would employ three shifts of workers at Giga Berlin at the beginning of October, with an occupancy rate of 80%.

The article also mentioned that one of the challenges that Giga Berlin has faced in scaling up its car manufacturing thus far has been the waste from the Giga Presses for the Model Y's rear underbody. However, the wastage from the Giga Presses has apparently been decreased by roughly 10% as a result of the most recent improvements to Giga Berlin.
The Tesla Giga Berlin is still under construction. From the initial phase of the factory, the facility has only produced one car to date. Giga Berlin, however, should be able to produce roughly 500K vehicles yearly, according to Tesla's observations over time, allowing the factory to meet local demand for the all-electric crossover.
